Oh, that kind of safe My pop did his national service just after the war so no guns involved, he was the radar operator but I guess the tail gun turret was a spare seat then.

Oddly, he's not long had cataract surgery and when he was diagnosed, because of his unusual symptoms, they asked him if he'd ever worked near any high powered radio equipment. Err, maybe

Cosford? Could one of you lovely chaps please take some pictures of their Lincoln, particularly the tail turret if it's possible - that's where my dad used to sit (and freeze his chocky bar against the window).

I'll be happy to take my DSLR and take whatever pictures you want....whenever the meet takes place.

I've only just seen this (sorry!), you're a gent I was hoping to get him up there for his 80th as Lincolns are rather rare these days but he didn't want any fuss made I guess if he couldn't crawl about inside it...

We went a few years back while on holiday in Skegness and if you time it right they do a taxi ride in a Lancaster bomber it's a great day out especially if your taking any old guys... The nans boyfriend took us he loves it there.

Sorry guys, I know I haven't confirmed yet but I'm having a nightmare couple of weeks at work. I am still intending to come to the meet but it is dependent on whether I get through my huge to-do list before Sunday
