its really just nothing more than an elaborate clip twist it a bit and pry at it with a screwdriver and it should split open.

i dont mean the rubber boots, i mean the bit behind the boots in the car:

the bit after this

i need to get that round plastic thing with the wires in it out so i can drill a hole through it to feed speaker wire through from the amp in boot

ive noticed theres another grommet just above this molex which looks like a straight hole with just a rubber grommet on each side, think this is easiest place, suprised noone else has used it?

That's all well and good, but if you're feeding additional wires into the door you'd want them within the existing loom to keep it tidy & protect them. In my opinion anyhow!jason1987 wrote:ive noticed theres another grommet just above this molex which looks like a straight hole with just a rubber grommet on each side, think this is easiest place, suprised noone else has used it?

Re: how to remove door molex *PICS*
why go through all that trouble of running speaker cable into the doors then to the amp when you can run speaker cable from the amp to the cars plug behind the radio that powers the speakers,
all you need to do is buy a new iso plug ( all you need off the new plug is the speaker side) throw the power side away because you use the power one thats connected to the radio
what you do is run 4 sets or 5 meter lenths of speaker cable into a new iso plug (you only need the speaker side of the new iso) obviously marking which is right left front rear + & - all iso plugs are standard so usually its the white and grey ones that run the front door speakers, simply solder your 5 meter lenths of speaker cable to the wires that come off your new iso and plug it into the cars speaker plug were the radio usually plugs into to power the speakers,
so when you plug the new iso plug into the cars speaker plug behind the radio you have 4 lenths of wire that you then run to the amp, when connected to the amp it powers all the speakers
as this is the original place were your head unit feeds power to the speakers
all the wiring is all ready run through the doors to the back of the radio
its 1 million times less hassle . all you need to do then is run the wire from the back of the radio down the sides to the amp, no messing about feeding wires into the doors,
