Hi all,Ive just brought a 2000 W Reg 406 Estate. Its a 1.8 petrol rapier edition.Ive gone to check the coolant level in the expansion tank but can only see a little fulid in the tank. The tank is Black plastic and has no Max / Min markings as far as I can see. There is a small plastic thing about 2/3 inches down in side the filler hole.
What level should the tank be at? How do I test the level as I cant see any markings on the tank ( unless ive missed them)?
Also The Aircon wont switch on atall. Any Ideas?
Thanks!

Re: how to check coolant level on 1.8?
you can remove the filter by twisting it.
i do this then fill mine up about half way, remember that it is a expansion tank and should not be filled to the top.

I just fill it to an inch or so from the brim, then let the pressure cap evacuate the excess
