Re: possible turbo failure on hdi 110
could my vaccum hose be blocked because of the oil or could my throttle or maf sensor be faulty as i have the engine light on and its not going off
Re: possible turbo failure on hdi 110
well i'd try a new or different maf before you jump into changing a turbo

The good old turbo test:
Start the car, rev the s**t out of it, if the smoke is blue in colour your turbo is done.

Re: possible turbo failure on hdi 110
The turbo on the HDi is quite often covered in oil but still works perfectly.
Grab the large intercooler hose up top and rev the engine - the hose should expand strongly in your hand (reach over for the throttle pot if your alone).
You really need a diagnostic to see whats going wrong but turbo failure is very very rare (in fact I know of none on here) more common is the INCORRECT replacement of the turbo by poor assumption.
