They said a while back that this August was set to be a record-breaking hot spell with fine weather. Looking now at the next couple of weeks they are predicting it to be 'much cooler' than average for the time of year
Apart from that week at the beginning of July our weather's been pretty naff so far. Anyone taking a 'staycation' this year may well be pretty pissed off with the weather
Wonder if our wiggy has any spare bedrooms going for a little Welly-cation? I reckon he'd like having my Volvo parked on his drive, kinda classy......
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work
4 spare rooms while I'm here, two double and one single bed, one futon, one camp bed, one sofa bed downstairs... My bro will be here from Sunday though.
High 30s today, I've just been dragged limping up and down the high road (take things easy, yeah right) and I'm completely exhausted
The weather has been cracking "dan sath"! First real summer for about 3 years!

Bloody weather, went to Newquay last week, pissed it down and windy as hell Thought i was going to be sat on the beach watching lovelys in bikinis walking by. Didn't even touch the beach. Was nice for the drive back on Saturday tho
Got this one sussed, guys. it's all down to my bro....
Last year he went off on his early summer hol, (early June to mid July), taking in Le Mans 24h & a tour of Germany, Poland, Lithuania etc. P1$$ed down every day, but we had a good spell of weather here.
Soon as he came back, so did the rain, right up to his next jaunt to Scotalnd, August Bank Holiday weekend. Needless to say the Western Highlands did him proud and & he got soaked every day, but it was nice darn sath.
This year he goes off to Le Mans again, (where it poured down), then down to the Midi Pyranees where he got to watch storms washing cars down mountain sides etc. etc. but it was gorgeous here.....
He got back about 10 days ago and he's here till the end of August, so don't say I didn't warn you.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
getting a bit tiresome to be honest could do with some cooler weather
I have my mother and co turning up sunday for a week and its forecast to drop to upper 20's for the week, I cant wait I think 28 will be lovely, just cool enough to cool down and still sunny enough for her to feel like its a holiday,
sadly when she heads home again its going back up into the 35+ range again
But you guys will get your revenge come winter time when me and Steve will be in the -20 region and plenty of snow
I am really looking forward to it TBH, but ask me again after the first few weeks and i might just regret that little bit of wishful thinking.

Having suffered through malignant melanoma on my shoulder, i'm quite happy for a dull summer. Cold doesn't bother me - it's endless rain that get's my goat. I love snow, and prostrate myself before God each December for a snowy winter.
No holiday this year - my 2 garages are close together, and with a few days canny building work i'm going to have one hoofing great 3 car garage, so that's my R&R, although a week in Skye with my mountain bike is also in the offing.
Was cracking in Cornwall yesterday!
Only problem is i'm back in leicestershire now
On the good side, only took me 4hours 20mins to do the 320 mile journey
Other side looked a right mare - about a 5 mile queue coming off bodmin moor from the 2 lane to single lane section and then large sections of the M5 at either standstill or crawling.
Oh yeah, 4 hours 20 mins including pulling into the services near j21 for a p

2007 Mondingo Zetec - I seek forgiveness Bring back my 406
Ive never been abroad unless you count Ireland and the Isle of Man I really dislike hot weather .A couple of weeks hot weather is enough for me ,which we have had .My Staycations are spent mostly oop North the last one in my tourer was 4 days in the Lakes it lagged down most of the time but it didnt deter the campers there were games abound on the playing field and parents and kids had a hoot ,when you live in a country like ours its better to enjoy all weathers. Roll on September
1997 406 2.0 petrol estate lx..D8.............OH dear where does this nut go?
