Heavy car, cold engine, ECU dumping unburnt fuel to warm up the cat, etc
My coupé spends 95% of its time and 99% of its miles cruising at more than 50mpg on clear motorways (either European, or UK at night), and the other 5%/1% being cained to within an inch of its life at about 10mpg average

so I entered a conservative 40mpg for it
