White dials were available and as far as I can tell, only for the D9 HDIs from 2002 onward.

If you got yourself a while dial set it will have the chrome rings already.
Apparently, they looking like the normal dials when light up at night.

If your car is Multiplexed, ie has the Com 2000 indicator and wiper stalks unit, then it'll be a straight swap.
Upload a picture of your indicator and wiper stalks and I'll tell you if your car is multiplexed or not.

I am sure the car has a com 2000 unit because when i bought it the indicator stalk had been broken, so i got a new one at £120 so i remembered the com2000 being a main part of the car, but heres pictures just to show the stalks and the current gagues:

would the white dials work ok here, and would the whole speedo unit have to be changed because that would cause problems with the milage displayed on the clock

Yup, thats Com 2000. So a white dash set will simply plug in and go.

The mileafe reading will be whatever the dashboard clocks last read (if second hand).

The £1000 question. It's not easy. Trawl through the local scrap yards.
Though, I might be able to find a set for you.

If you don't want to mess up the mileage, just replace the white dial background. Will need disassembly but it's a straight swap (it was for me)

No, it'll be whatever the instrument cluster last read PLUS what's in the car's BSI

Hi Blue!

The colour background LED/lights are different between the saloon and coupe - most noticeably seen on the same white needles:

a bit of advice - do not connect the second binacle to your car or the mileage setting will be gone forever - just swap over the dials

Here's the 'How To' from the coupe forum

hope this helps
