Driving to work yesterday I noticed a roadworks sign in the verge and prepared to slow down or move over a bit........only to round the bend and be confronted with a dead-stop slammed-on and nearly over-shot the temporary lights
I think the signage is very poor for a 60mph road and I notice a few skid marks where others had found the same.
The approach at 60-70mph......
Just approaching the left-hander, still no real warning (I 'do' this bend every day and your view opens up as you enter it so you can maintain at least 50mph)......
And then........Shiiiiiiiiiiittttttt... (please imaging a Red light for effect)
Oh, and a lovely dewey morn.....

Mine's the T5 too
Do you find it's like driving a diesel? Loads of low down grunt, yet higher up in the revs it seems to tail off slightly?
Only reason my Dad got the V50 is because the S40 is too small

Yes it drives exactly like a Diesel, that's why I liked it. You can poodle around at less than 2000 revs and get reasonable economy but loads of grunt.
I very rarely take it above 5000 revs as there's not much point.
Did you know they have CVVT (constantly variable valve timing) and the stability programme is quite relaxed too (in a straight line) and can see you pulling some surprising wheel spin without interruption
