Not wanting to hijack the post but I'm getting a bit concerned with the mpg's being quoted as my 1.9td gives me roughly 32mpg town driving and 38-40 motorway cruising. Do I have a problem ? I know I have a leaky injector and am having it refurbed when I have time to leave the car parked for a couple of days. Is there anything else I should be looking at to improve what appears to be my high fuel consumption.

Mines the same, if you click the MPG figure in my sig you will have a list of all the MPG figures I have gotten from my 406.

Definately sounds like a problem, i had this engine in my 405 and it returned 50mpg without too much bother. Not sure where to start, others on here should be able to advise better.

405 weight a bit less than the 406, ontop of that the 406 is ECU controlled.

All done now, 783 from one tank, got nearly 400 miles from the last half of a tank doing 75mph motorway run all the way to perth.

Done nearly a 1000 miles in the pug in the last 10days its never missed a beat, chuck veg oil in back and watch the smiles fly by, Just wish i had cruise control. Will be doing another 1000 miles in the next 7days me thinks up around the highlands for a week.
