I bought a 2.0 Zetec 130ps - TDCI.... Absolutely lovely car. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0417476151

Yet the previous owner neglected to inform me of all these problems looming and I'm no mechanic.

Finally got it fixed from a local place, who still seem to have ripped my eye balls out and done a sh*te job of it too.

Now i've got her back, the Peugeot has gone to my parents again... Until I next need it :D

Heard of injectors going on the older 2.0 TDCi engines before but usually go within the first few months of buying them and changed for uprated items.
ARB bushes are just general wear and tear.
I have geard of the oil seals going through, usually because they haven't been fitted tidy.

I looked seriously at a TDCI 130 Ghia X estate before I got mine, but I didn;t like the 6-speed box / narrow power band this example had, was put off by stories of 14hrs labour to do a clutch, but the clincher.......

Didn't have an armrest a short-arse like me could use.

Mk3's have a really cool cup hoplder, you press what looks like a button and the button slides out and unfolds into this awesome cup holder :D

Sad as it sounds I drive 300+ miles every fortnight to my girlfriends and the cup holder is a god send. A month without it was torture.

The 6 speed gear box is amazing and has loads more power through all the gears then my 2.1 td

It's a lot quieter and smoother to drive too.

Clutch is a 6 hour job. Normally done when the dual mass flywheel goes.

The arm rest is great for me and I'm a short-arse too.

hook it between the console and gearstick gaiter...

My golf has fold-out cup holders but they're awful and block the dashboard. I just leave the bottle of diet coke on the passenger seat. Must remember to try the halfords effort in it...

lol The MK3 Mondeo has two cup holders. One to the left of the handbrake and another built in to the dash.

I don't use the dash one as it's too far out. The one nearer is great but if your driving with a costa/starbucks cup in there, 9/10 it starts leaking or it is extremely hard to get out with one hand whilst driving.

On private roads that is ... lol
