Miles keep flying by....

Post by adamr8965 »

... Since sat 11 sept my 406 td has done nearly 1700 miles. Its never missed a beat once and just keeps on chugging on, i must say i've not owned my 406 for long but keeps up with a 20k rep car, and cost 19 times less.

Still got 400 miles back down to yorkshire over the weekend, and whatever i do next week when im still off work, about another 600 miles, and its cost nothing to run really. Full of pure veg oil on the way up, had to fill the tank with diesel up here, and when im home back to veg oil again.

All in all a very good car. :)

I won't go further than a 50mile radius of Bridgend in my 406 as it's so unbloodyreliable!

I have had plenty of great peugeots, i used to have a 205 which i just rallied round the fields, i went and bought the 205 from a mechanic/friend it was sitting in the way, covered in green and hit on the drivers door i paid £20 for it, put a set of chunky rally tyres on it, powerhosed it and a t cut made it look fresh , replaced the handbrake cable which i got off a spares car i got for £40 and the thing went on forever, on red derv, and this was over rough fields, sometimes being smacked into drains after handbrake turns. and stupidly after 2 years i scrapped the thing but even so i got £110 each for the pair of them, the car was still starting on the button not using a drop of water or oil and everything worked apart from the front headlight which hit a tree, i miss that car even to this day, since it i dont worry about peugeots reliability
