thanks, as they say if you dont ask you dont know.
Not sure if its a relevant awnser, but anyhow ive been driving petrols for a while and havent really adapted my driving style for the diesel 406, so when pulling out of junctions i usually use 1500rpm because in the clio i would have stalled under it. But even 45mpg when the 406 is drove unconmically isnt too bad, i just need to learn how to drive economically.
The clio did 250 miles on its 50litre tank it really was crap on the juice, even with my mum driving it now its not getting over 30mpg from a 1.2 what its doing with the fuel i just dont know, somethings seriously wrong with it but all the vital signs are ok and its been with the renault people and they cant detect any problems, im trying to get my mun to get a clio dci but still hasnt hapened yet. The panda did 40mpg no bother even when drove hard which still didnt mean it was going fast it just was revving its nuts off the way a small engined petrol fiat should be drove.
oh ahye the instantaneous mpg things on all the time, though ive near crashed into the back of some cars looking at it too much, but altough its a good indicator for showing when to change up i doubt its accurate, because that time i got the 46mpg after working it out, the car said 39mpg on average.
