"Barry Boys" are people who modify a car with the intention of making it better, but make it much, much worse

http://www.barryboys.co.uk

The spoiler on the 406 is a cosmetic item, and I feel it complements the car perfectly. It's not a performance mod (unless you have a twin-turbo V6 and are using it on a track).

The pictures of the cars with dodgy spoilers as above, they were most likely found on a site called Barry boys. Look it up.

I don't like the stigma that's attached with having spoilers etc

That spoiler on your car highlander looks quite respectable, the lada one doesnt really, this barryboys is good a bit like top gears carbage section if you ever used it. So much distasteful tack here to look at, thanks ill have a laugh at this stuff for a while. Im seeing a fashion on it for websites being printed onto the cars, what is the obsession with putting a url on your car is all these people immense computer freaks 406oc.co.uk is ok, but the whole http://www. thing on a car looks crazy perhaps.

exactly what i mean, is these people such big computer nerds that they love having a URL on their cars, not even bill gates has a url slapped across his car.

Now normally over here in NI some new vws are tastefully modified but one owner completley messed it up by putting http://www.performancevw.com/ on it, what next is someone going to print out the entire program for their cars ecu on it.

Im not saying bad about the 406oc.co.uk sticker, its not a full url. im giving out about these people with the full undiluted url across their car as sirwiggum has kindly demonstrated.

I've seen these URL's plastered over cars, I even saw a guys user name too :o it's a bit foolish to advertise a forum where all and sundry can read what you've said about your family, friends, boss........

lol I don't bother putting stuff like that on my car. If I were to come to sell the car, people could find a great place to see all the posts i've made about all off the issues I've tried to hide from them when selling the car ;)

Made me laugh when, after all the moaning & groaning about it Sam (Bailes) did on here, he then tried to sell his car on here too. Hope this Fockus turns out to be less of a neglected disaster area anyway.

This is a good site for sorting out issues with the car, what i like is that there seems to be someone else who has already had the issue before. Based on what ive said about my car, and done to it, would you buy it?

I haven't kept up to date with all the issues on your car and how you've solved them.

Granted, this is an amazing forum for help. So in some ways, telling a new buyer to come here would be great as they can not only get the problems you hid from them fixed, but they can find out about them too :D

I would happily show a buyer of my car this forum because any problems have been fixed from it (a big thanks to all who have helped), and another useful thing is asking how a job is done before you start it, such as changing the com2000 there is advice about making sure not to pull the horn out or it will snap a cable knowing that is invaluable. Its also good for adivce on things like spoilers splitter, painting the dash etc.
