Hi there Darren, welcome aboard :cheesy:

I suppose it could be the engine management's coolant temperature sensor :?

Might be the in-tank fuel pump sticking, it'll be fine once spinning and pumping but won't want to re-start when you stop it.

Have you listened for a deep grumbling noise when you first turn the key to ignition?

Next time you might try smacking the fuel tank to see if the pump bursts into life.

Is it a 90 or a 110? If it's a 90 then it'll almost certainly not have an in tank pump.

Siemens or Bosch? If it's a Semens it'll have the squeezy bulb on the fuel supply, probably up by the r/h suspension tower. I'm fairly certain the 90 is Siemens from about 2002 but I'm not 100% on it.

ECU coolant temp sender should be on the thermostat housing, it seems to be the one with the green connector.

A 7 year-old car and you're thinking of binning it? You need to find someone who can read live data from the engine management you do.

Iv had it over a year now & got it for next to nothing as its an x-taxi with 147000 miles,

iv discovered that it will start with easy start & stay running so im thinking its maybe to do with the pump now,

As it's a semen job it won't have an in-tank lift pump, but will probably have a strainer which could well be worth checking for blockages. (Though if this happens on an XUD, the primimg bulb goes soft or collapses).
