I can't even find any 'P08'xx codes for Peugeot, looking on here...http://www.pikit.co.uk/peugeotmt/psa%20 ... codes.html
Maybe your code reader kit is not telling you the truth?
Confusing the ABS is easily done just by spinning one of the wheels with the ignition on, for example, but any faults should clear after a few driving cycles or a battery reset.
One thing that does happen is broken/missing teeth on the ABS ring of the drive shafts - makes the sensor loose count.

99 % possitive the air bag fault is the comm 2000 unit main problems with abs
abs not showing a sensor or the actual fault the code that we get is 209 inconsitant wheels speeds

The ABS comes on if you accidentally put a wheel on a kerb turning into a tight junction
Would a binding brake on one side cause the ABS light to stay on?
Airbag light - Did you get the com2000 recently replaced? If so, check the connector under the centre console. I didn't plug mine in properly when I did my com2000.

Have a look here for the airbag fault....http://www.ilexa.co.uk/forum/index.php/ ... l#msg43252
Type the other codes in the search box and see what you get.
Check all the ABS rings on the driveshafts and rear hubs.
Have you tried clearing the codes?
