Peug 406 2.1td Gearbox

Please Please Please !! Can anyone tell me if the gearbox on a P reg Peugeot 406 2.1td is the same as the gearbox on any other model as my car is stuck in reverse no matter what position the gearstick is in i have checked all the linkage and the clutch is working its just the only gear available is reverse and i have come to the conclusion the gearbox is shot but finding one is proving difficult so im hoping a box out of another model will be easier to find

your probably gonna have to get one from the same car / engine ... i wouldnt think you could get 1 from any other model

Sounds like something's up with the selectors, I've no idea how hard it would be to take one of these boxes apart to change them, seeing as how you'd need to split the casings I'm not sure if it needs special tools or anything.
