Just a warning to anyone with an untaxed car that hasn't got a SORN attached to it.....
My next door neighbour has had his daughter's car clamped by the DVLA, he thought he would not need SORN as the car was parked on his property which is on an unadopted road.
The DVLA said that they are allowed to enter private property to clamp an untaxed vehicle that hasn't got a SORN.
Also anyone with any sense, knows you need to tax or declare sorn, it says so on the logbook.

I agree, he should have done a SORN, but the car was off the public roads on a piece of land that belongs to his/my property.
He had 2 Landrovers parked there for a year without problems.
Ah the sorn that nuisance, i always declare it scrapped otherwise they keep sending a new letter each year, thats for the suzuki which is kept off the roads, although it will be a big problem when i try and get it registered on the road again, reg plates are gone also.
Although I agree the DVLA shouldn't be near private property, it serves him right fdor not sorning it! It takes 5 mins to do and you can even do it online!

I was thinking this the other day when I was in the car eating lunch and the news was mentioning some murderer "was convicted of the offence".
Who was he offending? The victim?
Or is every crime listed as a personal offence against the Queen?
