I suspect a great deal went over the driver's seat too :?

My wife was helping me clear mine the other day. Unfortunately she left the door open while she was doing it  That's ok dear, you'll be sitting in it.

My camera's an antique, I've got no idea if I can get a vid onto Yewtoob from it :frown:

I splashed out massively the other day on one of those brushes to clear snow off the windows, so I don't have the problem of snow falling inside when I open the door. Where do I keep it? In the car

Ah sorry, i thought there was a secret key in there but the immobilizer on the 406 is a good job. Your idea of setting the camera in the engine bay is good your engine mounts are obviously in good condition.

Liking all the video's folks, some really clean 406's on here. The metal bit you see when Puggy opens his door is ridiculously clean, i think it actually 'pinged' Might stick one of mine up tomorrow even though it lives indoors and probably doesnt get much below 0*

Edit - Went out and took a vid this evening, apologies for the whining laborador 8)

Looking at puggy & Countrypug's vids, you can clearly hear the lift pump run for a good few seconds before the starter joins in - thus allowing the glow plugs to do their thang.

For a real challenge, stick the key in & start immediately - that'll sort the men from the boys.

I particularly liked the way puggy's dipstick / acoustic cover were dancing to the beat of the mighty HDi

(no to mention his comment of 'Fooking Mad').
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

I have no video evidence but i was in a rush this morning -6 it said and i just started it up without waiting, and it did it ok. Not bad for a battery i have drained flat on 3 occasions. (By leaving the boot open which doenst get killed with economy mode.)
