Problem with remapped defap+decat HDI 2.2 on high speed

Post by 406coupefan »

Well hello my dear peugeot friends,

I sucessfully remapped my 406 Coupe HDI 2.2 due to instructions on this forum, thanks for that btw.
Due to pm by dogslife I heard that some of you also got turbo pressure faults but only occasionally?
anyways

My coupe has coverd nearly 200.000km now and runs on 180hp non fap non particlefilter map since nearly 5000km everything works perfectly fine
unless i rev up the
car to 4100 RPM
as soon as i hit 4100 rpm the turbo is off, car goes back to limp mode, untill restart its like its blocked.

i went to a citroen dealer nearby the reader said the turbo pessure was simply to high.. so is there a way to remap that or refit a new sensor with higher setup?

what can I do? :frown:

If it has been running ok since the upgrade then it is unlikley to be as a result of the power increase even with it running much nearer the limits. Something must have failed or is in the process of failing. There are three main components in the loop, variable vanes in the turbo, pressure sensor at the top of the intercooler and the electro vacuum valve that regulates the turbo.
The last two are an easy swap out, you could even swap the turbo electro valve with the egr valve. I have a spare pressure sensor if you want to try another.
Can you flash the ecu back to the original settings and take it for a rag?
Some may frown on 'suck it and see' fault finding but it can yeild results.
