Re: Door Card Puddle Lights
There isn't a "one for all" available then? Like I said earlier, I'm reluctant to spend £150 on something I'll only use once, although I'm now wondering if I should get it & sell on when I've done to reduce the cost. Although it'd probably be a false economy as what I'd lose would be the same as it'd cost me to pay someone to do it.
No, but it does have a need for a bit more power by way of a remap...hdi 110s have no fap to worry about de fapping?

Buy it and sell it on with your car, you might only use it the once, but it might be good to have if any members near you need to hook up to a pp2000.

Re: Door Card Puddle Lights
Is there anybody with a working PP2000/Lexia that can give me a list of what functions can be turned on or off on the BSI please? Am now thinking that I may have to take the plunge & get one as I have a funny feeling that I may have plugs for the seats tucked away that may also need "activating".
Also, is it true that it can be used for programming new keys to the car? If so, this would help justify the expenditure.

I work in Aldermaston (not there) which isn't far.waue1978 wrote:Is there anyone that lives close to Andover, Hampshire that has Peugeot Planet that'd be willing to do it for a fee?
I'd be interested in sharing the cost. Or you can clear my airbag light from time to time. Keep thinking about a de-cat and remap too.

That's not too far. We could always meet up in Basingstoke from time to time. Wouldn't expect anyone to share the cost of the machine if I bought it, but would be happy to help anyone nearby with anything that it can do. Would be willing to pay some money to get the odd job done if someone else bought one.
As far as remaps go, from what I've read that would be a separate machine which I think is this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
Although if anybody could tell us if the PP2000 can do the remaps too, that would go a bit further towards justifying buying one.

Re: Door Card Puddle Lights
PP2000 can programme keys to suit your car, but can't download map files to your ecu.
I can't remember all the functions it can tweak, but I think it does most things an exec / SE has as std, plus one or two it doesn't. (I was able to set mine to automatically activate the rear wiper when the front's on & you select reverse, for example).
It also has adjustable sensitivity for auto wipers, maybe headlights too.
It lists loads of stuff you can't do cos there's no hardware, and useless stuff, like audible warning if you exceed a set speed....
Think you can set the doors to lock above walking speed.
You can also test activate anything the BSI controls.
If you look on ServiceBox, there's some really boring bedtime reading regarding PP features....

Re: Door Card Puddle Lights
Cheers Doggy. That pretty much covers what we need to know, although I still have my doubts about having to switch on a set of puddle lights through the BSI, but after seeing what happened to the BSI when someone took a feed from the courtesy light I'm not taking any chances bodging it.

Re: Door Card Puddle Lights
Well, thread resurrection time. Somebody (Wasp) very kindly popped round today with the PP2000 to switch on my puddle lights (door sill illumination on the PP2000) & although it now shows as enabled, the lights still don't light up as there is no power going to the plugs.
Anybody got any ideas why? Am I missing a fuse or relay somewhere? Checked the handbook & there's no mention of a separate fuse. Courtesy lights are mentioned on 2 fuses & both should be present as they also control other functions on the car which are currently working.

Re: Door Card Puddle Lights
I dont know. But your courtesy lights could be switched on by a circuit the same one i used for the footwell lights.
But i reckon there should be a fuse somewhere, although ive never had to replace it on my car.

I'm going to do the thing I always do: drag up old posts.
Now, are we 100% sure that the lights in the door cards are called 'Courtesy lights' because as you mention puddle lights (or Door sill illumination as PP refers to them as)
rwb raised a good point earlier, and that's - isn't the courtesy lights the interior lighting, i.e map reading light etc etc?
I too had the wiring behind the original door cards, and have connected mine up. rwb has kindly enabled my door sill illumination lights, which also say 'active' yet they do not appear to be lighting up. Did you ever discover a fuse for them, or relay that was missing? If there is no power going to them and we pretty much explored all avenues in PP earlier (I think..) then it must be a fuse, or relay.... I shall keep hunting down information as to why they are not working...
If anyone has any new information to add to this topic (as I have too) please feel free to reply...
Dragging up old posts usually helps others and despite someone not liking it, I shall always bump the older threads if I think it'll help me, or someone else.
