Re: Squirters
I have bought the "ready-to-use" stuff before - in fact, that's what's in the car now. Shell stuff, as it was on special at my local garage. It's never frozen despite temperatures plunging to -12 C.

Re: Squirters
Now were sucking diesel:

With that through the system it should hopefully keep the water from freezing again

Re: Squirters
just for your information i have now swapped over to the strong stuff as the last lot i had in was only good to minus 22, and a couple of days last week was freezing on the screen when i was driving back at night after lessons
the new stuff is damn near 8 quid for 4 litres (38 zloty a pop) but this stuff is good for minus 40 so should be ok for a while but im told the only one worth having by end of january is the minus 60 stuff
you guys are having it easy really, its just the garages and the like arent really set up for it back over there, here when you walk in any garage its like a well stocked motor factors, christ i can even get EP90/85 fully synthetic gear oil in 5 litre containers at the local shell station, that stuff was like rocking horse do-do the last time i tried to get any back in the uk, t'internet job.
in the same shell they sell gaskets of all varieties and hylomar instant gasket stuff, jubilees up to 300mm, tyres, every conceivable type of lamp, well you get the idea, every bloody thing.
we are having a bit of a warm spell too at the mo its back up to only minus 4 or 5 in the day time and down to minus 8-10 at night so its all good.

Re: Squirters
I got some new squirter nozzles which has now solved my cyclops problem.
Filled the washer bottle up with one third wash and two thirds water, and it hasn't frozen
(How big is the bottle? It always seems to take an implausibly large amount to fill it up.)
