Never had it on my 406... I much prefer driving without it in all fairness!

say that after you had it first, one thing i dislike about it is the kickback that odd feeling when the brakes are pressed hard it pushes back up at you. And in this ice its not great either.

I have disconnected my ABS over winter as 2.5 tonne on ice and pulsating brakes is not a good combo, its not necessary when off road either so my disco is sans ABS and i much prefer it that way, but if i had a normal car i dont think i could live without it, literally maybe sometimes

i think its a cracking invention for vehicles that dont stray from the black stuff, it can be a pain in ice and snow as can be traction control,

my BMW 740 had all the gadgets and in the snow sometimes you couldnt move as every time the rear wheels slipped it would kill the power to that wheel so if both spun up you were going nowhere even with the gentlest of applications of throttle, i had the gearbox ECU chipped so that i could bypass the DSC(traction control bit ) and keep the DSC(stability control bit) switched on rather than use the on/off button BMW give you which is all on or all off :(
it worked a treat and as an added bonus allowed awesome launch control if you felt like embarrassing anything else on the road, focus ST and RS drivers were a favourite prey

In die hard 3 how did the man disconnect the ABS so quickly, imagine the same scene only in a 406, it would say BRAKE FAULT and the whole car would come to a hault

How about a panda 100hp a sort of compromise between the power of an abarth but still quicker than a slower car.

Anyway I was getting fed up with having no CD player and really wanting my radio from the Pug... so I went to spares world and picked up a Sony stereo ont he cheap. It was an Ex Display refurbished model.
I brought it home and set about changing the radio over...
Image
Image

Love finding build dates :D
Image

Put the blank in...
Image

And put the new radio in which tunes straight to BBC Somerset?
Image

Tha plan is to put this radio in the Peugeot and get my good sony radio back.

I then tested the sub box out for size...
Image

I wanted to mount the amp straight on the back of the box but I had an issue...
Image
If I mounted it straight on these it would short them out ??

So found some spacers :D
Image

I put routed the cable nicley and put a hook on the box to hold it to the box...
Image

Mounted the amp...
Image
Image

Fitted the sub...
Image

And tried it out for size again :D
Image

Chuffed to bits with it :D

Then brought it into the warm :)
