Eh????

Post by FarmerPug »

When reading topics, where does these adverts come from, and why are some of them a bit irrelevant, is there no good ads like special offers on brakes, com2000s and air freshners instead of shopping coupons. Whys there ads in the first place.

There used to be a Paypal donation button some time back but Nick took it off for some reason.

Google matches the page content to its ad database, and chooses an ad.

Think of the entire page as being the search query, and the search results as being a list of ads.

A site I administered that had over 150k visits per month, average time half a minute, didn't generate enough Google ad revenue to support it. This site will have very different visitor stats profile. However, I doubt this site generates enough traffic to pay hosting costs, or to get the attention of advertisers (e.g., car parts) who would want to target it specifically. So hats off to the owners for keeping it going :cheesy:

This site is by far more friendly, more useful, more helpful, and more active than other car forums I have seen which either charge for access, or cripple functionality until you pay. You pays your money you takes your choice :!:

When I first joined we all chipped-in a bit to help....something between £5 and £10. Qualifies you for a telephone thank you from Nick too 8)

We should enable the donation button again to help out, even if it was just a few quid now and then.

Just muddled along I guess. The great thing about this site is the social aspect, we've got to sort out a meet up next year :)

A warm welcome back at the peugeot factory, come to think of it, since the 405 is still in production in iran, will the 406 ever replace it, apparently the old 504 or 505 only went out of production a few years ago in africa.
