Re: Black lower trim
one would define the ashwood as a classier looking wood, if its in good condition.

Re: Black lower trim
well just been back to the yard
got the genuine black glovebox , the bit under the steering wheel in black
with ashwood effect bits on
and the ashwood ashtray
all for £20
going back in the morning for the black rapier interior , its in mint condition all of it and he only wants £60 for all the interior
the car was even running fine it just had a knock on the engine (HDi)
i said is it not the bottom pulley, he said hes no idea and he didnt care
it was a bright red Y reg D9 in excellent condition ,

Re: Black lower trim
Did you not take off the glovebox housing with the passenger side end piece?
& as said yesterday, if you end up getting the doorcards with the interior for the £60 & you still want to stick with your originals, give me a shout - that'll make your interior even cheaper then.
Have you now given up on HBCs leather?

the price he gave me £60 was just for the seats mate ... told him i dont want doorcards ..
i havnt given up on HBC but i think he is gonna keep the car and fix it so in the meantime i will get the seats to replace mine now because the new ones are in much much better condition than mine,,
if HBC decides to break it i will still go for it ,,, its only £60 which i will probably get back anyway cos i will still have a spare rapier interior

Re: Black lower trim
Did he remove the glovebox housing or did you do it yourself? There are about 3 screws which are a total bitch to get at as 2 have the heads facing up into the dash & 1 needs the smallest torx driver known to man to do up & undo. 1 of the headless screws can be loosened with molegrips, but there's one right next to the centre console which I couldn't get anything in at so ended up breaking the clip.
