8v turbo help please

Post by tyerz »

Hi guys need a little help and hoping someone can supply the answers.

I have an 8v turbo engine that I have put in my 306gti, bit didn't have the luxury of having the whole car to doner from but do have all bits needed, but what I need to know is where and how ICV hooks up, also where the vacuum for the brake servo as I can't see a vacuum pump and also I believe the MAP sensor is in the ECU? If correct where does that hook upto?

Thanks in advance for any replys

It's been a few years since I owned mine, but I'll try to help. No idea on the servo's vacuum supply though, although it may just use low pressure air from before the turbo?

Half way between the intercooler and throttle body on the main inlet pipe, there's a roughly 1" diameter pipe coming out. The ICV goes into this, and then into the throttle body via an s-shaped length of 1" diameter hose. Wiring connector on top.

IIRC there's a tube going from the side of the alloy pipe from the turbo (charged section, near the dump valve) which goes through the engine wiring loom into the ECU box where it fits on the ECU.
