I had a free lesson this morning so thought I would use the time constructively and prepare for the rest of the day, alas all I did was have a bloody good browse of 406oc, I'm starting to think the oc stands for "obsessive compulsive" though, Mr Earwig is in full Pedant mode again I see :P

Yes, I find myself spending longer than I should on here, for example; earlier I spent a good 6 minutes staring at your avatar and wishing I was there :supafrisk:

You must introduce a control by the addition of a sacrificial anode affixed to the alloy wheel perpendicular to the corrosive elements. I suggest you braze a length of Table-Y copper tubing adjacent to the valve cap, approximately 150mm in length and untreated. A simple earth-conductor may also be introduced to accelerate the process - this will require you to fit a ground-earth spike (made from 100% brass) and ground each wheel every time you park you vehicle - you could perhaps introduce a quick-release (non corrosive) electrical connector to help speed things up if you're in a hurry.........
i work for a corrosion control company - i suggest and Impressed Current Cathodic Protection system! or plastic caps!
