Steering seems to have lost it's smoothness

Post by no2lurch »

On my 2.2 Sri estate, when I turn the wheel from lock to lock, it seems to have lost it's smoothness. It feels like there is play in the wheels.

Any suggestions at what to look at first?

Check the power steering reservoir (simplest and probably cheapest thing to fix, is topping up the fluid)
