If anyone is floating around a scrappie and sees any D9 sunblind clips, then get me some please

Here is a broken one on the right
They rotate through 45degrees then slide out sideways out the rail
One would be nice, but would be nice to have a spare

Also still want a D9 handbrake button

Is the D9 handbrake button a straight swap? How exactly did you fit it?

yes mate its a straight swop. it just pops off with a very very small screwdriver.

slide screwdriver down side and pop it off.

simply push new one on and it clips into place 8)

Well going to try that in a minute, as button turned up today - thanks Gary

Also, had a bit of a noise coming from the rear
Jacked the car up today, span the wheel, and very little, but if span the wheel really hard, could hear something.
Took wheel off, and upon inspecting caliper, the anti-vibration clip for the pads had snapped
this allowed movement in one of the pads, which has elongated the holes in the pad allowing the pad to move around slightly causing the noise

My mate reckons also the rear calipers aren't doing their job correctly as one disk has a blue glaze, and the other isn't clean in the area of sweep of the pads

Got a new spring kit coming tomorrow - just under £20
Rang up local motor factor and asked price for calipers
They want £93.40 + vat each !!!! and that for recon's

Come home for lunch, and there are some on ebay that are reconditioned
They are asking £52.35 a side with flat rate of £4.95 postage regardless of whether you buy one or two
That's £109.65 ( if my maths is correct )
Even better still, if you send your old calipers back, you get a refund of £50!

Sounds cheap as chips
ALthough getting paranoid it's too cheap now

I did the button a slightly different way, in that I slid the cover off first, then popped the button off, and slide the cover(handle) back over

On another note....................Car Insurance GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrr

I'm currently paying £52 a month
That's with Direct Line
That's for a comprehensive policy plus
Protected no claims
Motor Legal Protection
Guaranteed Courtesy Car

Bit naughty as although i've told them about the alloys, the spoiler, and the leather seats, I didn't mention the egg-sauce

Renewal came through and they want £58.84 a month
This is with 12,000 miles

I rang them up and asked them to re-quote me with only 8,000 miles and the egg-sauce
They want £745.18 and increase the excess from £375 to £575
With the 10% charge for credit that's £819.70 or £68.31 a month!!!

Best quote i've had at mo with all mods declared is £564.60 with a £350 Excess
Still seems excessive when i've got full no claims, 1 SP30 from almost 5 years ago and driving an oil burner

I was reading earlier that some D8 coop's came with folding mirrors

Looking for a pic of the switch they used in the D8 coop's for this

I have D9 type mirrors and wondering if I can make this work?

do you have leccy mirrors ?

there must be a way. but there must be a seperate motor to fold them.

personally i wouldnt bother with folding mirrors but they would be a nice thing to retro fit to a car that didnt have them previously 8)

Well, just an idea

Anyway, the coupe switches on ebay look like a unit in with the leccy windows, so using that option isn't viable

Actually..................

Was it on here earlier that I read, the only reason the memory function doesn't work is because it hasn't got the feed from the mirrors
