iwent to Adjust the rear shoes on my D9 Yesterday,
took out the Black caps on the disks /hub and spun them round theres no Adjusters
all ican see is a metal plate where the Adjuster shouid be
is this right or have they been fitted with an anti tamper blanking blate or something ?
Btw- ihave arear disks pads and shoes setup )
ive ended up tightening the cable as theres no adjuster on the handbrake lever either
I suggest you take off the discs and have a look, the adjuster can be difficult to find , the spring going across can hide it....I always mark on the backplate where the adjuster wheel is so that I can find it easily.
The handbrake lever adjuster is at the right hand side of the lever....just lever the handbrake lever to one side and look for a 10mm nut, use a torch.

Theres no adjuster its coverd with this plate if it is,

no mate ididnt take the discs off because theres no mention of them being taken off to adjust them in the Haynes bible or topics on here ,
all the stuff ive seen just describes taking out the rubber bungs and rotating the disk to locate the adjuster
the Shoes where fitted in june 2010 and the car as only done 4,000 miles since then ,
iwonder if the main stealer added blanking plates when they replaced the shoes
Try taking out a wheel bolt and turning the wheel with a pencil torch to look for the adjuster or feel for it as you turn the wheel...failing that take off one of the discs and see what is in there.
