Well I got caught speeding this evening, 99.5mph in a 70, 3 points and 60 quid fine. I was in a hurry to view a D8 Estate with my father in law before it got dark, Officer said im very lucky I didnt get banned

Unfortunately, with these three points I will have amased 12 points now
my first set of 3 points are due to come off my licence on 22nd May

Am I looking at a ban here??

Ithink you might escape with a fine and points Worse case scenario a month or so ban,
They may offer you an option to Go on one of there courses,

ive never been done yet for speeding Yet (touches wood) but my mate did and he was doing over 95 in a 70 and was banned for amonth he had points already tho ,, Ithink he clocked up 13 points

Im still waiting to see if ive got done for speeding its abit of Nail biting thing this waiting game

well 12 points is usully a ban under the toting up rule,but i think you will have to go to court so maybe by the time you get a court date it might be may the 23.

Thats unfortunate.
I got by for 2 years so far without a speeding ticket, i will admit to having once done 34 in a 30 zone, i was in the wrong gear.

I currently have 6 points on my licence, the first offence was the 22nd May 2008, 2nd 4th July 2010 and I got flashed by a speeding camera doing 68 in a 50 on the 16th Feb 2011 2 days before I sold the car and have recieved a letter notifying me of the offence and asking if I was driving

The offence today was an average speed of 99.5 over a quarter mile in a 70 limit, the officer was leniant and said he would rather endorse my licence with 3 points and a fine rather that send me to court for a ban as I was under 100mph luckily

It looks when I admit to driving the Mondeo on the 16th Fed it tottes me up to 12 points and a subsequent ban

She has no sympathy for me, and I don't blame her, the thought of not having a licence and my 406 being stood on the drive for 6 months cos I can't drive it is gutting

Do you know anyone that owns there own buisness, ?
if so Get them to write you aletter saying your adelivery driver for them and that your job relys on your ability to drive
and if your banned sadly your employment with them will be Terminated,

thats how my mate got away with a short ban idont know if itl work for you ,

Does your mrs not drive ?
if not start giving her some driving lessons while you can

My mrs has a provisional, unfortunately she refuses to drive the 406 as she says its to big for her

Ive been looking into being able to teach her if I do get banned, the info is pretty hazy on that, as far as I can tell I still need to hold a full licence, and technically I won't if I get banned

few years ago i knew a lad who drove on 12 points . he needed the car for work.

i dont know if they still let you do that ,,

(this is the reason i drive like a 70 year old on a sunday)
