census

Post by kevtherev »

just had a lovely 32 page questionaire thru the door
this is my 1st one since moving out and god they are nosey
q: briefly describe what you do in your job
a: as little as possible :cheesy:
they want to know so much stuff that, i fail to see how it can benefit them knowing it. why do they want to know how many rooms my house has ,and how it is heated(wtf)?? why do they want to know what i do as a job, how i get there , how many hours i work there
if it wasn't of the threat of a fine i wouldn't bother filling it in ,in fact i begrudge filling it in, besides some civil servant will probably leave hundreds on a tube train or something
anybody else feel like this?? anybody refuse to fill it and pay the fine? i recall at the last census somebody did jail time for refusing to fill it in..
and a question to ex-pats/overseas members, do you have census' in your countries?

Ah the census i remember doing about this in A level geography, it allows the government of countries to plan and adapt services for each area as well as possible. Its done every 10 years which in geography class you say is too far away as the results soon become old and obsolete. Do i have to do one now im 19?

plan and adapt services ?? obviously they dont work then lol
a census is sent to each household so you dont have to do one because your 19, only if you live on your own then you would have to fill it in , but if you live with ya parents they fill it out on your behalf

definately agree with that "how many cars do you have?? 3! ok and you use them to commute ?? ok lets stick 3p a litre on fuel and increase car tax by 15% while simutaneusly putting in fraudulent expenses claims to keep ourselves in the lifestyle we are accustomed to...barstewards
just a thought ... if the goverment are making cutbacks on frontline public services ie police etc will that mean our council tax comes down? after all on my council tax bill it shows how much is used out of my tax to pay for these front line services

No mate nothing is going to comedown if it does the tax will come off something else,
the evidence is clear to see,
police getting paycuts,
hospitals getting closed.
less money for schools,
sorry for saying this im not racist btw : How many mosques do you see closing down,
How many churches do you see boarded up or with tolet sighns on, ??

theyre Getting back the money quick what theyve took from the pot,
but what will happen when the pot is full again theyl take from it,

theyre fleecing there own country and want everyone to suffer,

this country is better for those not born into it,

when i turned 18 i was having credit card application forms for months . just binne dthem to start with but after a few weeks it got a bit boring so i would write NOT INTERESTED across it in big fat marker pen and send them back lol
american express actually wrote a letter back saying something like " we have noted your displeasure at our marketing tactics and would request if you no longer want to receive our marketing letters we advise you to contact the mailing preference service to be removed from our mailing list"
so i did and have never received a credit card application form again. i dont really get junk mail at all (apart from census forms)

More Grate than Great.

The government monitors births, it monitors deaths and it monitors migration so it should have a pretty good idea of who's actually living in the country. Maybe 50 to 100 years ago I can see it being a problem but now? It's got ulterior motive written all over it
