scatched at dealers

My other car is a citroen c4 grand picasso, a lease car and I'll be glad to see the back of it. Worst car I've ever owned. Anyway, it is going back in a couple of weeks and it has to go back with an MOT from the supplying dealer. Car booked in at main Pugeot / Citroen dealer, turned up to service desk signed the paperwork and arranged to pick it up at end of the day. When I got back home , after collecting car later, I noticed a patch of damage. A 3" X 1/2" mark where there was no paint left, right down to bare plastic, a 2" scratch next to it and an area about 2" in diameter with lacquer missing and lots of small scratches. Looks like someone has reversed my car into something.
As dealership had closed I phoned them next day,
me- do you do a condition check on incoming vehicles,
dealer- yes sir.
me- could you pull the paperwork on my car please and tell me if there was any damage noted,
dealer- was yours the c4?,
me- yes,
dealer- oh yes there was a lot of damage on the rear bumper sir.

Now I know that the damage was deffo not there when I dropped the car off but I wasn't there when the condition check was carried out. so now I have to get it repaired. Car was parked so that I couldn't see it when I drove away.

Moral, always check your car with the service team when leaving it.

bastards. if it was my car i would not let it drop. they damagaed it they will pay for it,

Can't prove it was them or that there was no damage before it went in. But I would sure as hell have seen it as I hoovered out the inside 2 days prior to the mot and it wasn't damaged then.
However it goes back to them the first week in April so I'll leave it and they'll have to sort it in order to sell it.

Trip computer doesn't work, then it does, then it doesn't...........
Fuel gauge doesn't work if the low fuel light comes on until at least 20 litres is put in to tie in with trip computer, see above.
All 4 tyres knackered in under 20K.
Electric hand brake doesn't release, yes it does, no it doesn't.........£900 to fix if it goes wrong, dealers figures.
Dash storage bins rattle.
Less than 30mpg average.
Can select reverse whilst on the motorway. oops.
Clutch judder.
Build and paint quality poor.
Interior marks very easily.

thats odd the c4 grand picasso fared well in the JD power survey, and i was in one i thought it was great. Although with french cars its usually best to avoid the first 2 years of production then most problems get ironed out.

A few years ago I had a very rare Honda Integra in an equally rare Mica Black colour. I washed and dried it and took down to the Honda dealer to fit new trailing arm bushes........

.......Huge scratch right across the bonnet about 3 feet long, another on the tailgate, and the car was *covered* in dust and shyte

....they attempted to buff-out the marks which worked, to an extent, but if I told you that the dealer 'Principle' couldn't give a f*ck then that would be a huge understatement

Hi Farmer Pug, if you read what cars owner reviews for the c4 GP it seems that the cars are either good or bad, and when they're bad they are very bad. Many with issues similar to me. Still 3 and a half weeks and its gone, not that I'm counting mind. My 406 despite being older and less technically advanced feels, sounds and drives much better, 50%+ better on fuel too.

sorry to hear about the troubles. I could imagine 3 weeks at a citroen dealer would be a bit of a nightmare.
