Antipolution fault

Post by lozz »

confusing one here.

ibought another 406 hdi last night in the view of breaking,
but after thinking about it its too clean and too new to destroy, :(

last owner say it as got a Fap problem itl drive for 10 mins or so and then Go into Hulk mode,
he says peugeot told him it needs the tank filling in the derv tank ?
what is this tank and what stuff shouid go in it ?

after driving it for over an hour its drove faultless its not as quick as my 2.0 hdi but its smoother and comfier 8)
how soon and regular shouid it throw its sell into limp mode if the tank was empty ?
ideas?
thanks inadvance

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Is this a 2.0 with a fap or a 2.2? A 2.0 110 FAP would be a first on here...

Is it a 2.2 HDi, lozz?

Whereabouts is 'your desk'?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

A 2.2 is certainly worth tinkering with :supafrisk:

Typical that the dealer mentioned the eolys tank needs refilling but effectively let the car go away as a scrapper :?

Since you think that of it, any chance we could do a swap, a type B display for that type C display in the car? Plus £20?
Im still after a sat nav screen.

iwouid do mate but itd lower the value of the car if idecided to sell it,
everything is there including 3 cds and remote so parting with the screen wouid make them useless
ithink the 406 sat nav does its job but its no where near as good as a tom tom etc,
