For sale: 1999 406 HDi 110 SOLD
Reluctantly, my 406 is for sale.
I have owned the car since August 2005, and in that time, it has wanted for nothing to keep it on the road. When I bought it the speedo was showing 72k and it now sits at 145k and as most of you will know, that's only just about run in for an HDi engine. It has had an oil change every 6k and diesel and air filters at 12k, and as well as that has had the following put on recently:
New front and rear drop links for the last test.
New in tank lift pump
'New' JVC aftermarket cd player.
It's taxed until July, and tested until February 2012 and has a tow bar fitted with single electrics.
Now the honest bits.....
The rear anti roll bar bushes need replacing, thanks to our wonderful councils pot hole policy, (Less than £10 for the pair from Euro Car Parts.) and the passenger front electric window needs looking at. The rear seat base needs possibly replacing due to wear, but isn't that bad.
Apart from that, eveything is as should be. It starts on the first turn of the key every time without fail, even during the recent bad weather spell, where the wifes Xsara HDi would need cranking a few times for it to start.
I am looking for £650 firm for it to include the current tax and there's nearly 11 months mot on it, so it's basically drive away, and it's only for sale due to the need for an mpv now we have a small grandchild.
If your interested, then ring me on 07900 563117. I am located near to J40 on the M1 south of Leeds.

£650 is a good price. I sold mine for more than that and it was to be honest needing a bit more TLC.
Re: For sale: 1999 406 HDi 110
I've been offered more as a p/x, but as the wise will know, it's already loaded on your new purchase anyhow, but if I go in with cash, I will be better off but would much rather it go to someone who understands the 406 HDi.
Or not as the case may be, as I'm after a Renault Scenic diesel, due to the grandchild.

Grand Scenic? Normal Scenic is just a 5 seater.

Hi,
has the cam been done on this?
has the cam been done on this?

Re: For sale: 1999 406 HDi 110
If you mean the cambelt as opposed to the cam, then it was done at 72k and then again at 120k.
Re: For sale: 1999 406 HDi 110
Now reduced to £600.

Any pics of the beast, Quinny? What spec is it? Also I've noticed you've had issues with it cutting out, going into limp mode etc. How did that turn out?
