Refitting brake switch...how?

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Refitting brake switch...how?

Post by Ga73 »

Hi all,

Found out the error code i was getting was due to a faulty brake switch which wasnt even fitted in properly and literally came out in my hand when i pushed it..

Ive bought a new one to fit but just doesnt seem to want to go in its new home :( i know the haynes manual says the steering column needs removing but i think this is a little beyond me to be honest...can anyone give me any hints/tips/ideas on fitting what looked to be a simple switch please

Many thanks all

if irember correctly when you put the switch in you twist it and it locks in place
some go in lugs so it holds in,

not sure on the 406 ones tobehonest but id try putting in the holder and turning it to see if it locks in

Thanks mate, to be honest its getting it into the hole as access is very restricted.

Great to know if some one has managed to do this without taking the steering column out and if so.... How!
