Car in LIMP Mode

Hi,

I hope I can receive some advice here as this is my last resort.

I have a 406 HPI 2.0 Executive, 2003.

The propblem I have is this;

The car is in limp mode, so wont go over 2000rpm.

The error code P1113 keeps coming up. & engine manag light is on.

The Intake Airflow Tempreture sensor has been replaced as I was advised this is what P1113 points to, but still no joy.


PLEASE help if anyone has any ideas. I have tried to find answers everywhere but no luck. I really am in the dark here

The nearest I can get for you is that this fault code is a manufacturer code and on a Citroen 2.0 HPI this code relates to the fuel pressure regulator.

Apparently the code means different things depending on the ECU fitted to the car.

Maybe someone with Planet might have more info.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Do you think if I provided more info ie on the ECU or someting this would help get a better diagnosis?

The car is in such good condition so really frustrates me that it's just a sitting duck.

Just to update;

I have changed the coil pack on the car and there has been no progress. Still has the same problem.

Here are some more details re the ECU;

oh ok,
iwas thinking it was deisel,
Hpi ? imust of missread it for hdi

Bin the Hpi and throw a Hdi in isay problem solved
