does any1 have any idea were the fan relays for the coolant fans,
1.9 turbo diesel

dont know on the d8s tbh,
but on mine you can see them if you take the grille off there sort of inthe area of the radiator.

cheers mate that give me an idea were to look.
just checked a radiator diagram on service box and they appear to be on the fan ousing

grill off and found this. so removed the 2 screws and found these 3 green relays behind it
are these the relays that make the fans come on and off ?

ishouid think so mate,
as a guess one wouid be something to do with aircon.
may be the other 2 are for high and low speed fans,
icarnt get at my peugeot stuff as its on another pc or iwouid of checked properly

oh if 1 is for the air con i wonder if it will sort my air con problem out.
when driving with aircon on car splutters slightly
its been dazzling me for years

have alook at the numbers on the relays,
if theyre all the same numbers swap the relays round one to another and see if theres a differnce,
just an idea mate,
not sure if they wouid be the same numbers tho but looking at the pic they all look the same from here,

Hi Gary406
yes those are the three relays - 12v 35a 5 pin
the haynes manual diagram lists them as:
rh fan supply relay
lh fan supply relay
lh and rh fan series supply relay
for the aircon and cooling there are 2 thermal swithces
one is brown pt no 133855 (no 14 on the parts diag) - this one is for the fan - if you clip it off both fans come on)
one is blue pt no 133809 (no 15 on the parts diag) - this one is the temp sender for the guage on the instrument panel
note that on the diagram from service box my switches were the other way around - facing from the front looking backwards blue on the left and brown on the right

thanks mate. yep i allready changed the blue and brown ones. still no joy with the fans working
so hopefully the relays will sort my problem
