Steering column cowl ( cover ) < Solved, not needed anymore

Post by RayneR »

Hi, i'm in search for this, it can be from a 406 or 607 ( the 607 is only the pre facelift ones, the facelift version is not the same i guess) that have the 5 holes to fit all the stalks ( headlights, wipers, radio stalk, cruise stalk ) including the ignition :P, the ones from 1999-01(?) pre-COM2000, cuz the radio and cruise from COM2000 has nothing to do with the pre-COM2000 ones.

Thank you.

thank you stealthe for the pic, hmm, i'm not sure whether or not i have the fix points ... but i would have to drill the hole anyway, buying one with everything done from factory is better .. stealthe yours is for sale ? :D , well if mine has the fixing points i will just drill the thing cause having the fix points to guide is easy to see where to drill :D

I have great news i have recently desmantled the cowl, and it looks like mine has the fix points too, it even had the draw on the plastic where the hole is, i drilled it and finished mounting the stalk !! it's perfect !!!

Mine is broken. Your pics confirmed it for me. The 'tower' in the middle has a small locating tab that has broken off mine.
Nice work drilling the hole!
The metal and any foam are to protect your legs from the steering column in an accident.
