No you dont need one unless its realy poweful 22s 177s are legal to have,
anyone over the age of 12 can have one,

but take one out in to public view and all hell breaks loose,
private land is the place to play with them,

they are strict here about it, the police even come to check the cabnet is kept locked.

you can have them over but there arules,
no one under the age of 18 can buy pellets.
anyone under the age of 18 using one as to be supervised.

you carnt go on private land with them withought the land owners permission as its classed as Armed tress pass,
the gun as to be carried facing down wards,

More powerfull weapons need a licence its all down to the 1bs,

shotguns definatley require a licence. though i havent got one they are a bit too dangerous.
