406 wiper problems

Post by ronnyp »

I have a 1999 406 2.0 Executive and the wipers are driving me mad whenever I put wipers on no matter if its med speed, fast speed or what they wipe for a few seconds then suddenly stop in any position it takes me ages turning on and off until they park at the bottom

agreed, they are ... i went to my garage to swap the driver wiper arm , and the mechanic broke it apart when he was trying to pull it up .. then the only way he got to pull it off was with that tool that has 2 claws and its fitted under the wiper arm screw ( without the screw tightened obviously lol) i don't know it's name ..

I'll probably use it to get the wiper arms off, so I can paint them, and then sell the tool on

I got a wiper motor off Ebay but when I went to fit it the wiring conecter is different , the one I got from Ebay has a flat type conecter with red, blak, blue, white, grey wires from motor into conector.
The conecter on mine is like a cube shape and the wires from motor are red, white, black grey going into conecter.
Any-ne got any ideas as I'm useless with electrics

I think one of them is multiplex (not actually multiplex in itself, rather for a multiplex car. I've no idea if you can make one work on the other :( )
