Adjusting the handbrake?

I usually adjust the handbrake via bolt near the handbrake itself.
I need to do my Uncles D9 with Rear discs.
I got out my D8 Haynes and it says you have to remove a plug from the disc to do it?
Is this correct?
Someone talk me through it please

if its any thing like my D9 there wont be any Adjustment on the side of the Handbrake lever,
if you see a Rubber cover over the lever it will be like mine,

there are a few D9s about with no Adjustment,
iadjusted mine by the cables at the back of the car think it was a 10mm nut,

It does seem like some cars have no front adjuster, in which case you'll have to do it all by the back one.

The haynes says to turn the adjuster behind the rear disc until you can't move the rear wheel any more, then back it off 5-6 notches.
But last time I tried to adjust the rear brakes this way I noticed you could only move the adjuster one way?

Just follow the link that Steve posted. On my car there is no front adjuster and when the in disc adjuster was turned there was no click either, mind you there was a lot of grease on it. When the weathers nicer I intend to do a proper strip and remove some of the excess grease. Still dont trust the handbrake though.
