Re: My new project,

what sort of engine is it?
what sort of engine is it?
Re: My new project,
its a 1.8 vvti lump ithink, there implanted in Corolas,
its pretty sharp and Grunty on Acelaration, very impressive for a 1.8 lump,
it was an old man that owned it so its been treated with some Respect, one of the reasons why igot it as normaly the Celica is abit of a boyraces car and they get Thrashed,
been after one for awhile as project and this one was a good one to start with me thinks,
the old man kept on top of the service etc on the car but never washed it or polished it,
he got fed up and gave up with the car as the local chavs where jumping on the car and kicking footballs at it
not nice realy but somepeople have no Respect for old people,
iwouid of loved to have batterd the little bastards but the law is on the wrong side these days

Re: My new project,
Looks great, red is always the best colour.
My car was similar where it was owned by some old fella to potter about it, so I knew it wasn't ruined by the boy racers.
Shame about the chavs, they have respect for nobody or nothing.

Re: My new project,

after my dads old non turbo diesel carina i believed strongly that the carina was the slowest car in the world, but after driving a petrol one they are not as slow as i once thought.
One thing about john joe is there was never a 3.0 version, the fastest engine was the 2.0 gti.

Re: My new project,
Exactly. They fitted 3.0 to the Supra and Camry models. Must've got confused!
Or maybe out in the sticks they perform such beastly experiments as putting a straight 6 in a Carina

Re: My new project,
it would be an odd experiment, i dont know if an old carina could handle all the power, they are more suited as a taxi.

its not mine tho lol,
its Mywifes friends we let her park it here as she lives on a busy main Road,
its an ugly car but its uber reliable shes had it yonks its not been cleaned in 5 years looks like its just come out of a scrapyard
but under all the Ming theres a tidy and un rusty carina maybe the Ming as protected it there normaly Rust buckets

Re: My new project,
You'll definitely have a lot to do on an FTO.. How about a 406 coupe?
