I was doing well on cars for a short stint... Now getting itchy feet again because I long to have a car that actually has some go in it.

To update mine as the original post was quite a long time ago.
The 406 was brilliant once I got over the fact that it was never going to set my pants on fire with performance but it was rock solid reliable and never let me down in 3-4 years.
After that a Clio 172 Sport Phase 1 - Fast as a scalded cat but fundamentally broken - sold within two weeks of ownership (in fact the day the V5 arrived lol)
Mk3 Mondeo 2.5V6 Ghia X - So far proving to be excellent, a lovely drive and well equipped - heavy on fuel though ;)

Strangely enough since I sold the 406 to my sister it's been nothing but trouble... the car must have liked me or maybe I just didn't abuse it

1997 Citroen ZX 1.9TD estate - Another great XUD, estate very roomy and useful for dogs and cookers! 2009
1996 Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0 Twinspark - A mini-Ferrari but ate suspension bushes, the clutch master cylinder went, the cat split in 2 and the fusebox self-combusted causing the wipers to have a mind of their own 2009 - 2010
2002 Peugeot 406 2.0 HDi 90 Rapier - Good big car, economical and good looking, but bad rust on the bottom of the nearside doors and engine mounts that the garage couldn't fix 2010 - 2011
1999 Honda Accord Coupe 2.0i ES - Big cruiser, heavy on the fuel but autobox easy to drive around town. 2011 ->
