Just what I need with a 400 mile round trip to Geordie land planned for Wednesday,

(In my mind the BSI had already been charged & found guilty of harbouring a faulty clutch relay, but best make sure).
Hooked up the pooter tonight & find BSI reporting, 'Permanent fault - Air conditioning compressor short circuit to earth'. Having seen these codes mysteriously vanish, I reset it, tried again, same result. Next, I disconnected the plug to the clutch, reset the fault again, but it came straight back again! Checked there wasn't a short between the cables to the clutch, (OK), then resolved to reset the BSI & see what happens.....
I can never remember the procedure, (you know the turn the ignition on through the window, while standing on one leg singing La Marseillaise backwards at midnight, or whatever it is), surmising there must be an option for Pug techs to do less/charge more and hey presto, there's an option to 'Reset after state change', or words to that effect.
Fearless Doggy clicked that option, (more in hope than expectation) and it seems to have worked.

We'll see if it keeps going.
