Other than that, Little Chef wise, the next ones back up your route are in Staffordshire, which is a bit out of the way for us soft southerners.

Maybe somebody with some local knowledge can suggest an alternative, or two - there used to be one right near Plod's manor, for example, but maybe its gone now?
That's a curry house now - still got the same bloody tables though

There's a garage over the other side of the A46 - so southbound - and they do a special, a breakfast and a car wash for a tenner - never tried it, just spotted it the other day
1999 D8.5 HDi GLX - Sold :(

2007 Mondingo Zetec - I seek forgiveness :( Bring back my 406

Would you trust Mr/Mrs/Ms Hand Job with your treasured steed, Plod?

If so, RSI permitting, we could be looking at an orderly queue of early morning customers - d'ya know when they open of a Saturday morning?

what is this con-text-u-al thing you speak of?
more to the point how dare you leave us for 2 whole days :x
without constant monitoring we have a tendency to wander off topic, its a sad reflection on our attention spans, that or early onset (well early for some of us) Alzheimers, now about these hand jobs again,

well Plod old chap would you trust these hand jobbers with your magnificent beast?

Back on track

I have no idea on the quality of the wash, or the food i'm afraid, as it's not one i've used, but the idea is there as the location is very suitable for people from a number of directions

As for my chariot, it's not as nice as it once was - few too many stone chips and scratches appearing
Fingers crossed if the weather improves, will tackle as many as I can before sunday
Sunday you say, yes sunday, as somehow i'm attending the coupe club meet at Donnington on that day, and it gives me an extra excuse to get it done in time for our meet :D

Tis a shame that Little Chef near me wasn't still running as out front there is a car wash place there
£15 gets the outside washed, tyres shined, dash cleaned, hoovered out including boot, and all glass cleaned
Nice dog van down the road though

Plod, I see an opportunity for you to become the forum's mystery shopper here - get yerself down there for a test car wash & brekkie & report back on quality & opening hours. :cheesy:
