Re: Pug Vans,
just check the noral stuff you would when buying any vehicle,
if your going to go for a partner/berlingo take a good look in around the chassis legs etc they seem to rot/rust in a few ive seen and worked on

Re: Pug Vans,
How about a 307sw HDI? You get comfort of a car and luxury of a tourer with panoramic roof etc plus space of a van

Re: Pug Vans,
I have an Expert van, 110 HDi, was part of a fleet of more than 30 I used to look after.I bought it because of low mileage (30,000).I've had it 3 years.
Fuel consumption is fantastic.
Things that have gone wrong and are normal are....
Changed exhaust twice, discs and pads and nothing much else.
I had a few intercooler pipes split on the fleet vehicles.
The Partner are pretty good, check out radiators and usual 406 stuff like drop links and ball joints, nothing much else really.

Re: Pug Vans,
The older Citroen Bisexual/Peugeot Pratner's seats have a bad reputation for back ache - my bro-in-law here has a Fartner and was in agony last time I saw him 'cos he'd just made a delivery up the other end of the country. The new ones look quite plush, although a little weird on the inside.

Re: Pug Vans,
My work has a berlingo, it seems like a good wee van, i think the bsi gave trouble because it was constanlty jump starting lorries but its never gave any mechanical issues.
But my uncle had a ford escort van, basically an estate with no doors for about 10 years it never gave any trouble but did rust very badly. Now he has got himself a 2008 Citroen Dispatch HDi, its a great van only 22k on the clock and a 6 speed gearbox on a HDi he says it does 50mpg no problem and 60 if he drives easy, it drives like a car, you have all the kit you need, and 2 sliding doors one on each side, and double doors on the back, it cost him less than a vw caddy and its a much better van.

Re: Pug Vans,
We have a 2000X Shitroen Berlingoat at work. It gets ragged to f*ck everyday and never misses a beat. It has the 1.9 lump in with no turbo but goes ok. Passed its MOT last week too, advisories on corroded brake pipes and white light from indicators and thats it. Good little bus.

Re: Pug Vans,
The last of the Escort vans were built in the Jag factory, teaching the workers to get up to quality for building the X type.

Re: Pug Vans,
my uncles old escort did a lot of work and when he was done with it he gave it to me because i knew the man in the citroen place he got a discount on it. mechanically the old ford was sound the engine was a bit more agricultural than an xud and very slow. but the rust was amazing it wasnt visible from the top but underneath every single important area was buggered.

Re: Pug Vans,
C15 - really! really!
Done sh*t loads of miles in C15's but the seats are shite, plus it's old technology, it's a visa afterall
We had 3 bingo's at one time - didn't think they were too bad, damn sight more confortable than the C15
Engines just ran and ran - a couple were 1.9's but one was a HDi - my last speeding fine was in it - surprising how fast they shift "for a van"
Didn't think the HDi was any better on fuel , but guess it was because we ragged it more
