Which Key Fob?

Hi

The key fob for my 406 is buggered as the buttons have disintegrated.

I see references to IR or RF keys....how can I tell what I have so as to obtain the right key from e-bay?

Mine is a teardrop like shape with a large and a small button (one for lock/unlock and the smaller one for deadlock). It has a red LED light also.

Are you after the whole key ( blade + circuit board + case ) or just the case + blade ?

Anyway i think 406's use Radio Frequency and not Infra red .. since you don't see any IR on the remove, the red led on the remote it's just an indication of operation ...

Well really, I only need the buttons but if anyone had a key for sale i'd buy it and use the case with my internals......

You can get replacement cases from ebay for a few quid, or the stealer is actually quite reasonable last time I used them for my 306 fob.
