flow sensor signal

gents i hooked my 406 up to a sealy computer, as its in limp mode. the ecu told me that flow sensor signal open circuit or short circuit to earth, so cleared it down, engine started a revved well

but then striate back in to limp mode,

so cleared down again the same thing happened.

some one tell me what to change please

Iv had a look around on internet and come to the conclusion that it might be the air flow meter

so on having a look at mine its full of crud so off to the motor factors to get some carb cleaner fingers crossed

Cleaned the air flow metre and still no joy

U might need new one. How'd ya know it's not knackered? Sometimes it won't show as a fault I heard.
I've just sold new 1 too, for £24
