Colour is very nice, and quite popular on 306's. Problem is every 406 seems to never have a decent finish? The sides of every 406 I've seen always look a little flat.

If I get a nice chunk of money together that I wouldn't miss to much I'l get a good respray done on it. But for now, I don't really care.

If I do get it, first port of call will be timing belt, lower pully, AUX belt, oil & filter and diesel filter.
Know where I am with it then
Then might look into getting an SE interior.
Then maybe in a year or so will look into a remap, but like I said. I'l be happy to have something thats good on fuel and a damm sight quieter and more comftorble than my Focus.

Bed news, the C5 had a crease in the bonnet he wasen't to sure about

Also doing quite abit of local driving the last few days, the state of the roads around here are dire and my cars reveloped a new creak. I jacked the car up and all seemed well though.

Now I'm torn between waiting to see if he finds anything else over the next few months or weather I should overhaul the suspension on the Focus as it's feeling abit soft now.
Also the insurance came back with a figure of £750... £450 cheaper than I thought

Just had a look at the Focus too...
Theres the tinest amount of play EVER in the drivers side wheel. Seems to be the wheel bearing.
N/S Ball joint dust cover is split (MOT failure as of 2012 and MOT's in Feb ) That means a FULL wishbone.
O/S CV Boot has a small hole in it.
And the steering creaks towards full lock, I think it's the top mounts.

Although going from a car with 107bhp and 0-60 in 9ish second and will do a 130mph on the speedo, to a car that takes 14.5s to 60 and 105mph will be hard work
Then again, I managed with my 1.9TD estate

speed is nothing sam nowadays. you cant drive anywere nowadays at speed with the amount of cameras about..

Totally agree, I drive my Focus slower than I ever did my 406.
Only thing thats nice about having a little power is you can atleast consider overtaking in my car. The XUD in standard tune was simply a case of no chance

Taking my Uncle upto Holmfirth friday.
He's driving up, picking up his new car and staying with his mate.
I'm driving straight home.

Should be a nice road trip to get used to her

Be also nice to see it do 300-400miles on half a tank. Get 350miles out of a full tank on the focus
