VI - PREHEATING OPERATION
The preheating time varies as a function of coolant temperature.
COOLANT TEMPERATURE PREHEATING TIME
- 25°C 15 seconds
- 18°C 10 seconds
- 10°C 0.5 seconds
- 1°C 0.5 seconds
VII - HEATING OF THE PLUGS WHILST CRANKING
During the cranking phase, the plugs are energised in the following cases:
· coolant temperature below 25°C?
· engine speed less than 70 rpm for 0.2 seconds.
Note: After the LED extinguishes, if the starter motor is not operated, the preheater
plugs remain energised for a maximum of 10 seconds.
VIII - POSTHEATING OPERATION
Postheating can extend the operation of the plugs after the cranking phase.
COOLANT TEMPERATURE POSTHEATING TIME
- 25°C 180 seconds
17°C 180 seconds
19°C 400 seconds
25°C 400 seconds
50°C 0 seconds
Parameters which can interrupt postheating:
· coolant temperature above 50°C,
